After 11 minutes, Safet Darmstadt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wacker Gotha 1895 and the Luttermann FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Safet Darmstadt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Luttermann FC's Arnulf Heimann got a free kick in the 19th minute. If Monty Moschner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leif Lieberwirth scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pascal Oppermann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute Gerold Grob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascal Oppermann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pascal Oppermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermann Dietz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Pascal Oppermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermann Dietz in the 36th minute of play. Wacker Gotha 1895's Pascal Oppermann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato de Kok in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Wacker Gotha 1895's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Heusel came free, but Pascal Oppermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iker Kinkeldey made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerold Grob in the 56th minute of play forced Wacker Gotha 1895's goalkeeper Pascal Oppermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Hermann Dietz took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Pascal Oppermann to make any attempt to save it. After 72 played minutes Wacker Gotha 1895 got a freekick which was hit by Safet Darmstadt. After 91 minutes of play, Luttermann FC's Gerold Grob made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pascal Oppermann was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Luttermann FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wacker Gotha 1895.
