Lennard Brockes's late challenge caught a Flachsberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lennard Brockes helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 played minutes Curslack got a freekick which was hit by Lennard Brockes. If Stefan Diggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Reinhard Hilligloh managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Flachsberg's Honorio Loramendi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the game, Flachsberg's Stefan Diggs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinhard Hilligloh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Honorio Loramendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Reinhard Hilligloh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flachsberg's Vittorio Grützmacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Georgi Alexis in the 22nd minute of play. Vittorio Grützmacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomas Breukelmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Thomas Breukelmann came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Curslack fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thomas Breukelmann couldn't finish the play. Honorio Loramendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Flachsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathan Throm to maneuver through the defense. Frank-Dieter Keuler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 38 minutes into the game, Honorio Loramendi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Reinhard Hilligloh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honorio Loramendi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reinhard Hilligloh came out and tried to block the shot, but Honorio Loramendi slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Georgi Alexis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Nierlich charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Nierlich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 57thth minute of the game Georgi Alexis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flachsberg's Vittorio Grützmacher was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reinhard Hilligloh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorio Loramendi in the 58th minute of play. Edgar Niebel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Loramendi in the 61st minute of play forced Curslack's goalkeeper Reinhard Hilligloh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinhard Hilligloh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fynn Baumgärtner, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Curslack getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Adalbert Stächele hit a great ball. If Honorio Loramendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Honorio Loramendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Björn Wegener had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reinhard Hilligloh. Curslack's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Björn Wegener was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Reinhard Hilligloh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorio Loramendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Curslack's goal looked a bit too open when Fynn Baumgärtner came free, but Reinhard Hilligloh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Honorio Loramendi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Reinhard Hilligloh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Honorio Loramendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Flachsberg fully deserved thier win.
