Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Victor Jerat started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Borussia Dortmund's Mathis Rippert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascal Stemmer in the 3rd minute of play. Mattis Jurgeleit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zonguldakspor's goalkeeper Romeo Rudinsky, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 23 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Gerhard Schwensen. Bertram Griefahn's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertram Griefahn helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Zonguldakspor getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bertram Griefahn hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Mattis Jurgeleit cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mathis Rippert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victor Jerat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Rudinsky read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If André Zeiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Zeiss recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zonguldakspor's zone, André Zeiss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Rudinsky came out of the goal and André Zeiss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Zeiss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Romeo Rudinsky made a huge save. Romeo Rudinsky was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Zeiss showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattis Jurgeleit was the one to do the kick off. André Zeiss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romeo Rudinsky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Jerat in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zonguldakspor's zone, André Zeiss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Rudinsky came out of the goal and André Zeiss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute, Mads Kopitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Zonguldakspor defense, André Zeiss kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Rudinsky. The Zonguldakspor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Rudinsky should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute of the match, Mattis Jurgeleit tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mathis Rippert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Victor Jerat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If André Zeiss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Rudinsky showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Jerat in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, André Zeiss ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeo Rudinsky was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Zeiss in the 81st minute of play forced Zonguldakspor's goalkeeper Romeo Rudinsky to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Zonguldakspor's Pascal Stemmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathis Rippert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Larry Zedi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zonguldakspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Dortmund the free kick. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zonguldakspor! Victor Jerat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Jerat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Jerat in the 100th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Rudinsky prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Borussia Dortmund's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
