Domingo Habibi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 3 minutes, Domingo Habibi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bleckden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Habibi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascal Eck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Kienböck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tarik Wille's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tarik Wille helped the player get up and apologised. Tarik Wille kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Domingo Habibi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathis Rippert having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ignaz Kuhl during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bleckden booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignaz Kuhl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathis Rippert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Habibi in the 16th minute of the match. Bleckden were furious when Horst Pieper was red carded, 17 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Bleckden's Horst Pieper got a free kick in the 17th minute. Pascal Eck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Kienböck in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Bleckden's goal looked a bit too open when André Zeiss came free, but Pascal Eck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roland Lorenz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pascal Eck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Bleckden booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Kienböck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bleckden's zone, André Zeiss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pascal Eck came out of the goal and André Zeiss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Bleckden defense, André Zeiss kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pascal Eck. The Bleckden fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pascal Eck should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Bleckden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hannes Lausen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascal Eck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Lorenz in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Lorenz in the 48th minute of play forced Bleckden's goalkeeper Pascal Eck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Bleckden players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Borussia Dortmund were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Jerat to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Bleckden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Lausen to maneuver through the defense. Bleckden's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when André Zeiss scored to the left of an out of position Pascal Eck, making the score, 0-2. Pascal Eck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Jerat, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With his leg Pascal Eck managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Borussia Dortmund's André Zeiss fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bleckden's Pascal Eck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Predrag Ovekamp in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Kessen to maneuver through the defense. Victor Jerat's late challenge caught a Bleckden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Jerat helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Victor Jerat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bleckden's Pascal Eck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Jerat in the 80th minute of play. When James Kienböck was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 82 minutes had been played. Mathis Rippert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Lausen in the 84th minute of play. Pascal Eck made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Zeiss in the 86th minute. André Zeiss in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pascal Eck, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. André Zeiss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascal Eck having to interfere. Pascal Eck made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when André Zeiss sent off a good shot on target. The Borussia Dortmund players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
