Pascal Eck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland Lorenz in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Lorenz in the 48th minute of play forced Bleckden's goalkeeper Pascal Eck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Bleckden players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Borussia Dortmund were winning 0-1.
