Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hemmo Bothner kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Hemmo Bothner made a precise shot to the right of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. Schachthalden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Hemmo Bothner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Josef Kramer got free with Christen Ruppmann in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Schachthalden's zone, Siegfried Tassler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann came out of the goal and Siegfried Tassler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Schachthalden's Ariel Höppner got a free kick in the 18th minute. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristide Apostel in the 20th minute of play. Siegfried Tassler took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Aristide Apostel took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siegfried Tassler in the 33rd minute of play forced Schachthalden's goalkeeper Uwe-Jens Kretschmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Hemmo Bothner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After 38 played minutes Küsd got a freekick which was hit by Abdelaziz Czisch. Schachthalden's Josef Kramer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 39th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Christen Ruppmann but with some difficulty. Nils Haaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christen Ruppmann having to interfere. Christen Ruppmann was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Leopold Thieme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopold Thieme really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nils Haaf was the one to do the kick off. When Aristide Apostel fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Küsd's protests and gave Aristide Apostel a yellow card for diving instead. Christen Ruppmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Rubeck in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Küsd's Will Frieb got a free kick in the 55th minute. A hard shot 58 in the game by Hemmo Bothner from a close distance when the talented Uwe-Jens Kretschmann managed to make a qualified save. Schachthalden's players were relieved. Hemmo Bothner's late challenge caught a Schachthalden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hemmo Bothner helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Küsd got a freekick which was hit by Hemmo Bothner. 66 minutes into the match, Küsd's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Haaf came free, but Christen Ruppmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Aristide Apostel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schachthalden's Uwe-Jens Kretschmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute Nils Haaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christen Ruppmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Siegfried Tassler, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Schachthalden's goal looked a bit too open when Siegfried Tassler came free, but Uwe-Jens Kretschmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hemmo Bothner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christen Ruppmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Haaf, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Siegfried Tassler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. That made the score 1-6 in the 83 minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Schachthalden's goalkeeper Uwe-Jens Kretschmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siegfried Tassler. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hemmo Bothner in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe-Jens Kretschmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Palle Strohm hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Josef Kramer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christen Ruppmann. Küsd's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hemmo Bothner in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uwe-Jens Kretschmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 95th minute, Hemmo Bothner reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Uwe-Jens Kretschmann. The goal made the score 1-7.
