When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Joseph Jojade sped through Borussia Dortmund's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mathis Rippert. Remo Totti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Jerat, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After 58 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Roland Lorenz. If Conrad Dötsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. André Zeisss short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Remo Totti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Remo Totti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Jerat in the 90th minute of the match. Victor Jerat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Remo Totti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The VFR Stommeln fans cheered their team off the field, for while Borussia Dortmund had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
