Spectators: 8038 (Terracing: 6114, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Anthony Costa kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Anthony Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Hoyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Schalker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egidius Hoppensack to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, Egidius Hoppensack was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Schalker's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hangover 96 the free kick. A collision led to Schalker getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Egidius Hoppensack hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Schalker's Egidius Hoppensack got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game 陈迅源 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schalker's Kai Hoyer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute Anthony Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Hoyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Schalker's Edson Kläsener got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Edson Kläsener had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Schalker booed when Hangover 96 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Paetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hangover 96's goalkeeper David Wortmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Schalker's zone, 陈迅源 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kai Hoyer came out of the goal and 陈迅源 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schalker's Kai Hoyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Costa in the 30th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Hangover 96 got a freekick which was hit by Rupert Bullacher. A hard shot 41 in the game by Horst Döhler from a close distance when the talented Kai Hoyer managed to make a qualified save. Schalker's players were relieved. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by 陈迅源 in the 51st minute of play forced Schalker's goalkeeper Kai Hoyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kai Hoyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthony Costa went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Einar Betz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kai Hoyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anthony Costa in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horst Döhler in the 70th minute of play forced Schalker's goalkeeper Kai Hoyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horst Döhler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Hoyer having to interfere. Hangover 96 made a substitution. Claudio Schefer replaced Horst Döhler. Kai Hoyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anthony Costa went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Claudio Schefer took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kai Hoyer. Kai Hoyer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Claudio Schefer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
