Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fritz Rudolf Bankett took the kick off in the first half of the match. Remo Totti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Sünneke in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Conrad Dötsch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arko Lau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Conrad Dötsch went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, VFR Stommeln's Joseph Jojade got a free kick in the 24th minute. Bernd Kahlert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Remo Totti made a huge save. Bernd Kahlerts short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Remo Totti to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Stephan Scheuermann hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Stephan Vollmer, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Bernd Kahlert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrad Dötsch made a kick off. Neubrandenburg's Julian Sünneke got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Rudolf Bankett in the 62nd minute of play forced VFR Stommeln's goalkeeper Remo Totti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Rudolf Bankett couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernd Kahlert in the 75th minute of play forced VFR Stommeln's goalkeeper Remo Totti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes of play, Neubrandenburg's Bernd Kahlert made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remo Totti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Henriko Ernst kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. VFR Stommeln's Remo Totti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernd Kahlert in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Fritz Rudolf Bankett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neubrandenburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Neubrandenburg's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
