Percy Skjelbred showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopold Thieme in the 22nd minute of the match. Uwe-Jens Kretschmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximilian Hiller-Schmid, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes 1.FC Köln got a freekick which was hit by Roy Holzer. In the 35th match minute, Schachthalden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedikt Mackowiak to maneuver through the defense.
