Patrick Heimann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfried Lohmüller in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Puch's Flo Bontz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Heimann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Totti in the 14th minute of play forced Puch's goalkeeper Joachim Frese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flo Bontz in the 16th minute of play forced VFR Stommeln's goalkeeper Patrick Heimann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Flo Bontz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patrick Heimann was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Patrick Heimann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puch. VFR Stommeln's Patrick Heimann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Lohmüller in the 34th minute of play. After some careless play in the VFR Stommeln defense, Gustav Grauslich kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Heimann. The VFR Stommeln fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Heimann should have stopped the shot. Patrick Heimann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustav Grauslich went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute of the match Özgür Ostendorf shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick Heimann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Puch's zone, Stephan Vollmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joachim Frese came out of the goal and Stephan Vollmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, VFR Stommeln's Patrick Heimann got control of the ball when Flo Bontz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 60thth minute of the game Wilfried Lohmüller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VFR Stommeln's Patrick Heimann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Flo Bontz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puch's supporters rose to their feet, but Flo Bontz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Heimann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Flo Bontz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Heimann. VFR Stommeln's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flo Bontz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Stephan Vollmer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joachim Frese having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfried Lohmüller in the 76th minute of play forced VFR Stommeln's goalkeeper Patrick Heimann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Heimann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfried Lohmüller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Puch's Gustav Grauslich slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Patrick Heimann. That made the score 0-4 after 84 minutes of play. Patrick Heimann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flo Bontz in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Gustav Grauslich reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patrick Heimann. The goal made the score 0-5.
