Valérien Jahnke started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wayne Püst during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th minute Valérien Jahnke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Schnackenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Quabeck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Leo Schnackenberg made a huge save. The supporters of Rübeer booed when Vinnum City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Beloch didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Vinnum City's goal looked a bit too open when Valérien Jahnke came free, but Leo Schnackenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rübeer booed when Vinnum City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Mäncher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valérien Jahnke might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Schnackenberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valérien Jahnke ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Vinnum City's zone, Ronald Baumgartner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Schnackenberg came out of the goal and Ronald Baumgartner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Harry Rybarczyk fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vinnum City's protests and gave Harry Rybarczyk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Vinnum City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Rybarczyk to maneuver through the defense. If Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerd Klassen took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Beat Holtmann. Beat Holtmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Gerd Klassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beat Holtmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerd Klassen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Beat Holtmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Gerd Klassen made the kick off in the second half. Leo Schnackenberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Baumgartner in the 55th minute of the match. Harry Rybarczyk was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Vinnum City's Harry Rybarczyk got a free kick in the 57th minute. Valérien Jahnke's late challenge caught a Vinnum City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valérien Jahnke helped the player get up and apologised. Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Beat Holtmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vinnum City. Rübeer's Beat Holtmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rübeer defense, Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beat Holtmann. The Rübeer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beat Holtmann should have stopped the shot. When Torsten Schikowsky came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Vinnum City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torsten Schikowsky couldn't finish the play. Gerd Klassen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beat Holtmann having to interfere. Beat Holtmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hüseyin-Kenan Lautwein went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Ronald Baumgartner hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over Vinnum City could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rübeer throughout the match.
