Kevin Metz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Brehmer in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Hundt came free, but Kevin Metz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hartefeld FSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Hartefeld FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Brehmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kevin Metz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin Metz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Johannsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Friedrich Krause.
