Spectators: 6829 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1829, VIP seats: 0) David Dreher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Metz having to interfere. In the 7th minute of the match Benni Bergner sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans Noebels skillfully saved the ball. Hans Noebels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Kaltz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the game, Hansjörg Kreuels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hans Noebels was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Sonnenham FSV's zone, Hansjörg Kreuels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Noebels came out of the goal and Hansjörg Kreuels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hans Noebels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hansjörg Kreuels in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Sonnenham FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Lukas Kaltz came free, but Hans Noebels reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lukas Kaltz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Dreher made a kick off. Hansjörg Kreuels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Noebels having to interfere. If Hansjörg Kreuels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Dreher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kevin Metz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sonnenham FSV booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Blattner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Borussia Dortmund's Kevin Metz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Dreher in the 79th minute of play. Lukas Kaltz struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Hans Noebels didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borussia Dortmund. If Jürgen Theinert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Lukas Kaltz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Noebels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Hansjörg Kreuels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sonnenham FSV's Hans Noebels was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hans Noebels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Kaltz in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's Benni Bergner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Noebels narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Borussia Dortmund's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
