Tobias Kaske breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 18 minutes into the match, Kornelius Schmorell notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hölderlin-Goethe's Tobias Kaske. Tobias Kaske was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Anton Otto fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ameisenigel's protests and gave Anton Otto a yellow card for diving instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hölderlin-Goethe's Janko Breddermann got a free kick in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute Torsten Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Kirchberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Florian Pache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias Kaske. Hölderlin-Goethe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Pache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walt Günther during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Ameisenigel getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Walt Günther hit a great ball. Janko Breddermann kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Kornelius Schmorell scored 5-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tobias Kaske, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th match minute, Hölderlin-Goethe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janko Breddermann to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Anton Otto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th match minute, FC Ameisenigel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Wildemann to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Kornelius Schmorell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Tobias Kaske was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Hölderlin-Goethe's zone, Christoph Orthaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Kaske came out of the goal and Christoph Orthaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Otto was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 92 minutes, Ari Bonhoeffer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hölderlin-Goethe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ari Bonhoeffer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Torsten Henning had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Kirchberger. FC Ameisenigel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torsten Henning was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Ameisenigel had won after a very even match.
