After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Tomasz Iwaszko managed to get in a good position for a shot. BESA Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomasz Iwaszko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugen Gelb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomasz Iwaszko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugen Gelb. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Nils Rauh charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nils Rauh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nils Rauh hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Rogelio Rocio lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Eugen Gelb. After a defensive mix-up in Karlsruher SC's zone, Rogelio Rocio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugen Gelb came out of the goal and Rogelio Rocio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eugen Gelb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Rocio in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Trachsel in the 22nd minute of play forced BESA Dortmund's goalkeeper Kornel Röbe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Nathan Chef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 minutes, Rogelio Rocio made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Karlsruher SC's Eugen Gelb tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 30th match minute, BESA Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heiko Birkle to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Gelb was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Tomasz Iwaszko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tomasz Iwaszko really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. BESA Dortmund's Rogelio Rocio got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Karlsruher SC's Holger Wohlert got a free kick in the 39th minute. Tomasz Iwaszko was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Tomasz Iwaszko came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the BESA Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomasz Iwaszko couldn't finish the play. Nils Rauh made in the 45th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Holger Wohlert however managed to control. Rogelio Rocio struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Eugen Gelb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BESA Dortmund.

When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Rogelio Rocio sped through Karlsruher SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eugen Gelb. In the 60th minute, Rogelio Rocio made a precise shot to the right of Eugen Gelb. Karlsruher SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Tomasz Iwaszko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Gelb having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Tomasz Iwaszko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Eugen Gelb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 74th minute of the match Ernst Richter sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eugen Gelb skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rogelio Rocio in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugen Gelb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 minutes, Rogelio Rocio made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Karlsruher SC's Eugen Gelb tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Tomasz Iwaszko made a precise shot to the right of Eugen Gelb. Karlsruher SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. Tomasz Iwaszko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BESA Dortmund walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
