BESA Dortmund's Eibo Schmitt pulled a muscle in his leg after 2 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klemens Lüdemann during the 2nd minute. The BESA Dortmund fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when BESA Dortmund's Rogelio Rocio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 7 minutes into the game, Marcus Thieringer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BESA Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Artige frei Denker the free kick. Marcus Thieringer hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. With a little luck, BESA Dortmund's Kornel Röbe got control of the ball when Aaron Merkmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomasz Iwaszko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Artige frei Denker defense, Rogelio Rocio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Niklaus. The Artige frei Denker fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Niklaus should have stopped the shot. Artige frei Denker's Adrian Niklaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Rocio in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klemens Lüdemann in the 21st minute of play forced BESA Dortmund's goalkeeper Kornel Röbe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Rocio in the 22nd minute of play forced Artige frei Denker's goalkeeper Adrian Niklaus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to BESA Dortmund getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Marcus Thieringer hit a great ball. If Tomasz Iwaszko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Siegmund Milch put in a rough tackle. Siegmund Milch kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Jose Jesco hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, BESA Dortmund's goal looked a bit too open when Klemens Lüdemann came free, but Kornel Röbe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Rogelio Rocio made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Niklaus. Artige frei Denker's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 37th match minute, Artige frei Denker was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Volker Sieger to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Artige frei Denker defense, Tomasz Iwaszko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Niklaus. The Artige frei Denker fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Niklaus should have stopped the shot. After 43 played minutes BESA Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Wolfgang Kreuz. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogelio Rocio to make the kick off. Tomasz Iwaszko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adrian Niklaus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomasz Iwaszko in the 54th minute of play. The corner led BESA Dortmund's Jose Jesco to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrian Niklaus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wolfgang Kreuz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Niklaus having to interfere. Adrian Niklaus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomasz Iwaszko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, BESA Dortmund's Tomasz Iwaszko dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 69th minute, Vicco Lenke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute Volker Sieger suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Rogelio Rocio fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BESA Dortmund's protests and gave Rogelio Rocio a yellow card for diving instead. Artige frei Denker made a substitution. Ansgar Ost replaced Volker Sieger. In the 71st minute, Rogelio Rocio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 74th minute of the game was made by Nathan Chef with Rogelio Rocio as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Adrian Niklaus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rogelio Rocio in the 80th minute. BESA Dortmund's Rogelio Rocio managed to work through Artige frei Denker's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rogelio Rocio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Tomasz Iwaszko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogelio Rocio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Niklaus having to interfere. Tomasz Iwaszko struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Adrian Niklaus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BESA Dortmund. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomasz Iwaszko in the 94th minute of play forced Artige frei Denker's goalkeeper Adrian Niklaus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Artige frei Denker fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BESA Dortmund were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
