The audience thought a goal was coming when Berthold Francz got free with Jörg Wengle in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jörg Wengle made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Berthold Francz sent off a good shot on target. After 40 minutes of play, BSV07Rintheim's Olaf Michael Spranger made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedikt Heim was the one to do the kick off. Linus Bork didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wüllenrath. 66 minutes into the game, Olaf Michael Spranger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BSV07Rintheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wüllenrath the free kick. Davor Ammann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 78 minutes, Davor Ammann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wüllenrath's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davor Ammann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute of the match, Markus Hofmeier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Linus Bork was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 89 minutes into the match, Wüllenrath's goal looked a bit too open when Berthold Francz came free, but Jörg Wengle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berthold Francz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jörg Wengle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
