Rudolf Harnack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dirk Baumeister, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Rosenfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Lewandowski came free, but Rudolf Harnack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th match minute, Merdingen FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Daus to maneuver through the defense. Werner Walser made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Elmar Appelt sent off a good shot on target. Werner Walser made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukas Hutterer in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Dirk Baumeister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merdingen FC's Werner Walser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Merdingen FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dirk Baumeister in the 30th minute of play forced Rosenfeld's goalkeeper Rudolf Harnack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dirk Baumeister scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudolf Harnack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the match, Rosenfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Ulbrich came free, but Rudolf Harnack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Lukas Hutterer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Werner Walser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Rosenfeld's Elmar Appelt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Werner Walser. That made the score 1-2 after 46 minutes of play. The Rosenfeld players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Merdingen FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lukas Hutterer to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Lewandowski in the 55th minute of play forced Rosenfeld's goalkeeper Rudolf Harnack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Rosenfeld got a freekick which was hit by Boris Demitter. In the 59th minute, Kurt Radbruch reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rudolf Harnack. The goal made the score 1-4. Merdingen FC's Werner Walser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Hutterer in the 64th minute of play. Rudolf Harnack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karsten Lewandowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With an all-out effort, Merdingen FC's Rudolf Harnack threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karsten Lewandowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rudolf Harnack was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Karsten Lewandowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karsten Lewandowski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Nicholas Daus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Rudolf Harnack made a huge save. Rudolf Harnack was a little too slow when Nicholas Daus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-6. 81 minutes into the match, Rosenfeld's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Ertan Krause came free, but Rudolf Harnack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudolf Harnack was out of position in the 85 minute of play, and Dirk Baumeister capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dirk Baumeister really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. If Klemens Schramm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudolf Harnack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicholas Daus in the 95th minute. The Rosenfeld fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Merdingen FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
