In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosenfeld's goalkeeper Rudolf Harnack, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Rogelio Rocio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Rogelio Rocio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BESA Dortmund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Tomasz Iwaszko might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Harnack. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomasz Iwaszko ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th match minute, Rosenfeld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Spoden to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Spoden during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nathan Chef hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Heiko Birkle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rosenfeld's Frieder Mrozewski got a free kick in the 77th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Dirk Käppler in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by BESA Dortmund's Ernst Richter. Eibo Schmitt scored 7-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudolf Harnack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rudolf Harnack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Rocio in the 84th minute of the match. When Heiko Birkle fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BESA Dortmund's protests and gave Heiko Birkle a yellow card for diving instead. Heiko Birkle hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. BESA Dortmund's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
