Eugen Gelb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute, Josef Trachsel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eischeid's Christian Quinkert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conni Tetzner in the 33rd minute of play. With his leg Eugen Gelb managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Eischeid's Johannes Esche fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Josef Trachsel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Quinkert was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The wind increased when Boubacar Häusling made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Boubacar Häusling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eischeid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boubacar Häusling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josef Trachsel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Christian Quinkert made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boubacar Häusling in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Gelb saved Karlsruher SC from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Karlsruher SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Eugen Gelb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Karlsruher SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
