Dan Degdau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wüllenrath. 9 minutes into the match, Eintracht Emden's goalkeeper Dan Degdau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Markus Hofmeier. Dan Degdau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davor Ammann, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a little luck, Eintracht Emden's Dan Degdau got control of the ball when Markus Hofmeier tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Wüllenrath's Dan Degdau threw himself towards the right post 15 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Davor Ammann, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 17 minutes into the game, one of Wüllenrath:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Eintracht Emden's Dan Degdau got control of the ball when Angelo Klause tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Markus Hofmeier made a precise shot to the right of Dan Degdau. Eintracht Emden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Angelo Klause reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dan Degdau. The goal made the score 2-1. Piet Posch was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 36 minutes into the match, Eintracht Emden's goalkeeper Dan Degdau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piet Posch. The crowd rose to their feet as Wüllenrath's Jannick Jösting slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dan Degdau. That made the score 3-1 after 38 minutes of play. Sebastian Lausen kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The long shot by Davor Ammann in the 47th minute really tested Dan Degdau's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Merten Boxberger to strike the kick off in the second half. Jörg Wengle made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Arik Beloch sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the game, Jannick Jösting was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wüllenrath's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eintracht Emden the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Jannick Jösting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jörg Wengle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arik Beloch in the 54th minute. The supporters of Eintracht Emden booed when Wüllenrath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Kaufmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eintracht Emden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Merten Boxberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Eintracht Emden's Noel Bodin got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davor Ammann in the 64th minute of play forced Eintracht Emden's goalkeeper Dan Degdau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Wüllenrath's Davor Ammann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Degdau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 78th minute, Merten Boxberger had to leave the field with a concussion. Wüllenrath's Jannick Jösting got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Jannick Jösting off the ground. Eintracht Emden's Jan Middelberg was substituted for Merten Boxberger. The goalkeeper, Jörg Wengle, was totally fooled by Eintracht Emden's Arik Beloch, who 81 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
