Christian Quinkert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicholas Daus's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Karsten Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Quinkert having to interfere. Werner Walser made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Johannes Esche sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 23 minutes, Boubacar Häusling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eischeid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boubacar Häusling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes Eischeid got a freekick which was hit by Lukas Pieth. Nicholas Daus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Merdingen FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Dirk Baumeister hit a great ball. After 36 minutes, Rudi Kirchner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eischeid and the Merdingen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rudi Kirchner kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Karsten Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas Daus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karsten Lewandowski to make the kick off. After 97 minutes of play, Merdingen FC's Nicholas Daus made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Quinkert was left in no man's land by his defense there! The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
