In the 18th match minute, Eintracht Emden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfred Plücken to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Rogelio Rocio notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Eintracht Emden's Dan Degdau. Dan Degdau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 25 minutes into the game, BESA Dortmund's Rogelio Rocio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Degdau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. In the 34th minute, Rogelio Rocio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dan Degdau was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Hellmut Becker kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Hellmut Becker lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 39th minute, Hellmut Becker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jose Jesco scored 0-7 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dan Degdau, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alban Steffen made in the 45th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Arik Beloch immediately put the ball in play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arik Beloch was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Dan Degdau successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 58th minute, Dimitri Theiss made a precise shot to the right of Dan Degdau. Eintracht Emden's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Tomasz Iwaszko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dan Degdau came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomasz Iwaszko slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 64th minute. After 66 played minutes BESA Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Tomasz Iwaszko. After 68 played minutes Eintracht Emden got a freekick which was hit by Arik Beloch. Dan Degdau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogelio Rocio in the 70th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Tomasz Iwaszko rounded Eintracht Emden's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-10. BESA Dortmund were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Eintracht Emden's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jose Jesco took the corner. After taking down the ball on BESA Dortmund's corner Heiko Birkle fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dan Degdau quite easily take care of the ball. Tomasz Iwaszko received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dan Degdau came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomasz Iwaszko slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 80th minute. The supporters of Eintracht Emden booed when BESA Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Iwaszko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfred Plücken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arik Beloch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kornel Röbe having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Eintracht Emden got a freekick which was hit by Manfred Plücken. In the 88th minute, BESA Dortmund's Rogelio Rocio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. Rogelio Rocio took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Degdau. Dan Degdau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-13.
