Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Xabier to make the kick off. Evert Schmitt took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Morten Trittin. Morten Trittin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. During the 88th minute of the match Ferdinand Humpich completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ferdinand Humpich a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. FC Peging were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
