In the 15th minute Gerhard Neskovic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislaw Babetzki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislaw Babetzki came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Sommersell's Gerhard Neskovic. But to his dismay, Gerhard Neskovic quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Herbert Breukelmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Degener, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Holger Lade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislaw Babetzki having to interfere. Herbert Breukelmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hartmut Kosch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Herbert Breukelmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Degener, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Herbert Breukelmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hartmut Kosch in the 33rd minute of the match. The referee ignored Sommersell's protests and gave Andy Schmiedel a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Sommersell got a freekick which was hit by Andy Schmiedel. Stanislaw Babetzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerhard Neskovic, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After a rather tough play, Udenborn's Herbert Schieder got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 85th minute, Friedl Bruhn made a precise shot to the right of Herbert Breukelmann. Udenborn's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
