Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Johannes Popp started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 2 played minutes Udenborn got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Schieder. Stanislaw Babetzki acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Stellan Sundling. In the 9th match minute, Udenborn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Schieder to maneuver through the defense. When Johannes Popp came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Kesten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johannes Popp couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki got control of the ball when Johannes Popp tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Johannes Popp could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Stanislaw Babetzki however easily saved by the left post. Stanislaw Babetzki came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Kesten's Johannes Popp. But to his dismay, Johannes Popp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgil Degener in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince Van Halssbeeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute Virgil Degener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Van Halssbeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vince Van Halssbeeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Degener, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Kurt Illgner struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Stanislaw Babetzki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kesten. Stanislaw Babetzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stellan Sundling in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgil Degener to make the kick off. Stanislaw Babetzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Popp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanislaw Babetzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Popp in the 52nd minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Udenborn's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Popp came free, but Stanislaw Babetzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tizian Haunstein during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Tizian Haunstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Kesten booed when Udenborn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Schieder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Stellan Sundling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stanislaw Babetzki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Johannes Popp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Udenborn's Stanislaw Babetzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Udenborn defense, Kurt Illgner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislaw Babetzki. The Udenborn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislaw Babetzki should have stopped the shot. Kurt Illgner took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stanislaw Babetzki. Stanislaw Babetzki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Ramsey during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Udenborn booed when Kesten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Ramsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Johannes Popp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kesten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Popp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johannes Popp in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanislaw Babetzki saved Udenborn from getting behind. If Kurt Illgner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Virgil Degener managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Udenborn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgil Degener was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
