When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ekkehard Störmer sped through Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Henrike Schwarz. If Ekkehard Störmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, Nolan Zanter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Peging and the Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 booed when FC Peging was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nolan Zanter didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Peging's Morten Trittin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Peging from getting a goal against them. In the 45thth minute of the game Ekkehard Störmer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's Henrike Schwarz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 47 minutes, Wilhelm Gatzke mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 and the FC Peging players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the final whistle sounded FC Peging left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carl Zeiss Jena 1903.
