Sommersell's Herbert Breukelmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Sommersell from getting a goal against them. During the 19th minute of the match Reinhold Lelke completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Reinhold Lelke a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 22nd minute, Andy Schmiedel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philipp Gunselmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perikles Windhausen during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sommersell booed when Kriebitzsch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perikles Windhausen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kriebitzsch's zone, Holger Lade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Philipp Gunselmann came out of the goal and Holger Lade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 32 in the game by Fabrizio Neubrandt from a close distance when the talented Herbert Breukelmann managed to make a qualified save. Sommersell's players were relieved. Kriebitzsch's Fabrizio Neubrandt got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uwe Jaschke struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Perikles Windhausen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herbert Breukelmann having to make a save. Toni Weckenmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Herbert Breukelmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fabrizio Neubrandt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Kriebitzsch's Uwe Jaschke ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Herbert Breukelmann. Herbert Breukelmann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Holger Lade made the kick off in the second half. If Uwe Jaschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perikles Windhausen might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Herbert Breukelmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Perikles Windhausen ran back to his position shaking his head. Kriebitzsch's Philipp Gunselmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Kriebitzsch from getting a goal against them. 69 minutes into the match, Kriebitzsch's goalkeeper Philipp Gunselmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Holger Lade. Herbert Breukelmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Jaschke in the 71st minute of the match. If Uwe Jaschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herbert Breukelmann came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Kriebitzsch's Uwe Jaschke. But to his dismay, Uwe Jaschke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fabrizio Neubrandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Herbert Breukelmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, Kriebitzsch's Perikles Windhausen made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herbert Breukelmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! 88 minutes into the match, Holger Lade notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Kriebitzsch's Philipp Gunselmann. Philipp Gunselmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabrizio Neubrandt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Herbert Breukelmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 97th minute by Andy Schmiedel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
