Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) 5 minutes into the game, Johannes Popp lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Henrike Schwarz. Ashley Stahlschmidt hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Wilhelm Gatzke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vince Van Halssbeeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sami Harms in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince Van Halssbeeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Popp got free with Henrike Schwarz in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's Peer Eggers got a free kick in the 21st minute. Henrike Schwarz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Stellan Sundling. In the 22nd minute, Peer Eggers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johannes Popp got free with Henrike Schwarz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Johannes Popp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Henrike Schwarz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the game, Johannes Popp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kesten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 the free kick. In the 31st minute, Peer Eggers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrike Schwarz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Popp, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Johannes Popp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Henrike Schwarz made a huge save. When Rutger Cornelißen came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Kesten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rutger Cornelißen couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
With a little luck, Kesten's Vince Van Halssbeeck got control of the ball when Wilhelm Gatzke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johannes Popp in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrike Schwarz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Johannes Popp made a precise shot to the right of Henrike Schwarz. Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Fabian Emig's late challenge caught a Kesten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Emig helped the player get up and apologised. Fabian Emig kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Ashley Stahlschmidt fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's protests and gave Ashley Stahlschmidt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kesten booed when Carl Zeiss Jena 1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ashley Stahlschmidt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vince Van Halssbeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sami Harms in the 78th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 79 minutes into the game, when Tizian Haunstein put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Kesten:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carl Zeiss Jena 1903:s goal. When the match had been going on for 81 minutes, Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's Albert Kleimeier got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vince Van Halssbeeck. Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's Sami Harms suffered a fractured collar bone after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Johannes Popp kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Albert Kleimeier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carl Zeiss Jena 1903's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Kleimeier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilhelm Gatzke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jack Ramsey fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 93rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. When the referee ended the match the Kesten players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
