FC Hüls's goalkeeper Ekkehard Paroth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilhelm Gatzke. Sami Harms had several of the 1. FC Hüls's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 92 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Ekkehard Paroth as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ekkehard Paroth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilhelm Gatzke went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see 1. FC Hüls lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
