After having played for 5 minutes, Iker Kliesch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gönnjamin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Kliesch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Zwickling's zone, Heini Plath stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertram Verlinden came out of the goal and Heini Plath tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gönnjamin FC's zone, Baptist Rammbock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gönnjamin FC's Adé Hinz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Heini Plath put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bertram Verlinden. Pit Theiss made in the 26th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Zwickling's Phil Schulze. Bertram Verlinden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heini Plath in the 27th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Heini Plath cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Bertram Verlinden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 46 minutes of play, Zwickling's Baptist Rammbock made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hernan Boskamp was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Zwickling players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gönnjamin FC were winning 1-2.

Bertram Verlinden made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iker Kliesch in the 72nd minute. 78 minutes into the game, Iker Kliesch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bertram Verlinden. Iker Kliesch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iker Kliesch in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertram Verlinden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Heini Plath blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertram Verlinden having to make a save. Gönnjamin FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
