Heini Plath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Horst Birnstiel made a huge save. After 14 played minutes FC Midgard got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Castellani. Claus Holsing charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claus Holsing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gönnjamin FC booed when FC Midgard was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claus Holsing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugen Schwarze took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Boskamp. Hernan Boskamp dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Heini Plath dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Horst Birnstiel, 1-1. In the 39th minute Claus Holsing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Boskamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heini Plath to make the kick off. Hernan Boskamp made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Eugen Schwarze sent off a good shot on target. 53 minutes into the match, Gönnjamin FC's goalkeeper Hernan Boskamp had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvise Castellani. Iker Kliesch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horst Birnstiel having to interfere. Horst Birnstiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heini Plath, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Hernan Boskamp came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Midgard's Alvise Castellani. But to his dismay, Alvise Castellani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. 78 minutes into the game, Harald Potulski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hernan Boskamp. Harald Potulski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. After 82 played minutes FC Midgard got a freekick which was hit by Harald Potulski. In the 85th match minute, Gönnjamin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sébastien Zach to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th match minute, FC Midgard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hendrik Jung to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Todor Vaskov made a precise shot to the right of Hernan Boskamp. Gönnjamin FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-6. After having played for 92 minutes, Todor Vaskov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Midgard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Todor Vaskov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
