Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zwickling's Baptist Rammbock started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Dimo Schiefer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bertram Verlinden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 6th minute, Gregor Resch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertram Verlinden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walther Waidler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 8 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Poggenkrug's Walther Waidler fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Bertram Verlinden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walther Waidler in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Dierk Mackensen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zwickling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poggenkrug the free kick. In the 11th minute, Dierk Mackensen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Zwickling's zone, Walther Waidler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertram Verlinden came out of the goal and Walther Waidler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Zwickling's Gustav Cassirer got a free kick in the 13th minute. Bertram Verlinden came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Poggenkrug's Dimo Schiefer. But to his dismay, Dimo Schiefer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Zwickling booed when Poggenkrug was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willi Bach didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Oesterreich in the 28th minute of play forced Zwickling's goalkeeper Bertram Verlinden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Oesterreich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertram Verlinden having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimo Schiefer in the 34th minute of play forced Zwickling's goalkeeper Bertram Verlinden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Dimo Schiefer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertram Verlinden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Zwickling's goalkeeper Bertram Verlinden, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bertram Verlinden didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Oesterreich went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After the first half Poggenkrug were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walther Waidler made a kick off. Dimo Schiefer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Bertram Verlinden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 56 minutes into the match, Zwickling's goalkeeper Bertram Verlinden had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulf Oesterreich. Zwickling's Bertram Verlinden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Zwickling from getting a goal against them. Dennis Winkels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 74th minute, Dimo Schiefer made a precise shot to the right of Bertram Verlinden. Zwickling's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulf Oesterreich during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Poggenkrug getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ulf Oesterreich hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dimo Schiefer got free with Bertram Verlinden in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bertram Verlinden was a little too slow when Walther Waidler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 0-7. 93 minutes into the game, Simon Hinderberger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zwickling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poggenkrug the free kick. A collision led to Zwickling getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Simon Hinderberger hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Walther Waidler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Poggenkrug's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
