But to his dismay, Bartolo Borger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. A collision led to hoherkrauz getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Alfons Weihs hit a great ball. Ansgar von Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise Castellani in the 29th minute of the match. hoherkrauz's Ansgar von Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvise Castellani in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Bartolo Borger made a precise shot to the right of Horst Birnstiel. Horst Birnstiel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugen Schwarze was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 81 minutes, Reinhard Pawlowitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Midgard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhard Pawlowitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ansgar von Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Holsing in the 83rd minute of the match. Hendrik Jung took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ansgar von Berg. Ansgar von Berg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-5. In the 88th minute, Eugen Schwarze left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Midgard fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-5. After a rather tough play, FC Midgard's Leif-Eric Mehlbaum got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Horst Birnstiel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Theodor Queitsch. 94 minutes into the match, hoherkrauz's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Holsing came free, but Ansgar von Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
