Dynamo Grimma's Matti Heidsiek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Dynamo Grimma from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute, Poggenkrug's Dimo Schiefer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matti Heidsiek. The referee ignored Dynamo Grimma's protests and gave Egon Schütte a yellow card for diving instead. Dimo Schiefer in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Albert Surkemper was left in no man's land by his defense there!
