Poggenkrug's Albert Surkemper played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eiko Burtscher in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Walther Waidler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poggenkrug's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walther Waidler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Fc Arndissimo booed when Poggenkrug was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Winkels didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Poggenkrug's zone, Eiko Burtscher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Surkemper came out of the goal and Eiko Burtscher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walther Waidler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Fc Arndissimo booed when Poggenkrug was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Willi Bach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albert Surkemper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eiko Burtscher's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Albert Surkemper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Malsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dimo Schiefer was extremely unlucky when he, in the 29th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 31 minutes of play, Poggenkrug's Dimo Schiefer made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerrit Kranz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walther Waidler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Kranz having to interfere. When Oskar Branke fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Arndissimo's protests and gave Oskar Branke a yellow card for diving instead. Oskar Branke hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Gerrit Kranz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walther Waidler in the 37th minute of the match. Gerrit Kranz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walther Waidler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joachim Malsch in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Surkemper saved Poggenkrug from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eiko Burtscher in the 43rd minute of play forced Poggenkrug's goalkeeper Albert Surkemper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Walther Waidler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerrit Kranz having to interfere. Fc Arndissimo's Joachim Malsch got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Poggenkrug's goalkeeper Albert Surkemper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joachim Malsch. When Albert Scheepers came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Fc Arndissimo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Scheepers couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eiko Burtscher in the 67th minute of play forced Poggenkrug's goalkeeper Albert Surkemper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eiko Burtscher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Surkemper having to interfere. If Eiko Burtscher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albert Surkemper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eiko Burtscher in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joachim Malsch got free with Albert Surkemper in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Fc Arndissimo getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Oskar Branke hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Walther Waidler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerrit Kranz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joachim Malsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Albert Surkemper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
