With a little luck, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Thilo Borgelt got control of the ball when Wendelin Schaffer tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's goalkeeper Thilo Borgelt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wendelin Schaffer. Thilo Borgelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emmerich Olowka, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Klaus Jauss hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 40thth minute of the game Gunther Polder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Polonia Sinzing's Arne Pingel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Gunther Polder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Arne Pingel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emmerich Olowka to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gunther Polder in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Pingel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thilo Borgelt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmerich Olowka in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Ole Neuling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thilo Borgelt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in 1.FC Mehlesdorf's zone, Ole Neuling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thilo Borgelt came out of the goal and Ole Neuling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Polonia Sinzing's Ole Neuling got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ole Neuling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Thilo Borgelt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunther Polder who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Arne Pingel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Per Gulden kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Gunther Polder dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Quint Kentzler made in the 90th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by 1.FC Mehlesdorf's Robert Möllmann. In the 91st match minute, 1.FC Mehlesdorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zwi Ebbing to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1.FC Mehlesdorf's goalkeeper Thilo Borgelt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
