Pedro Kotthaus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tobias Guenther read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Reto Moratschke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Christopher Mulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zwirkenberg's Friedl Grytz got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match, Pedro Kotthaus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tobias Guenther saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Zwirkenberg's Christopher Mulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hellmut Karrenbauer in the 22nd minute of play. If Herrmann Rocker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Kotthaus charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Kotthaus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of VFB Stuttgart booed when Zwirkenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Kotthaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Hellmut Karrenbauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zwirkenberg's Christopher Mulder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrian Hertäg's late challenge caught a VFB Stuttgart's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Hertäg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th match minute, Zwirkenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Hertäg to maneuver through the defense. The wind increased when Hellmut Karrenbauer made the kick off in the second half. Friedl Grytz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Tobias Guenther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pedro Kotthaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute Pedro Kotthaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Guenther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Guenther showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Kotthaus in the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to Zwirkenberg getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Adrian Hertäg hit a great ball. After 63 played minutes VFB Stuttgart got a freekick which was hit by Franz Knop. Walther Börnsen kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Tobias Guenther showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Hertäg, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Pedro Kotthaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zwirkenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Kotthaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Hellmut Karrenbauer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Kotthaus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Guenther having to make a save. Zwirkenberg's attack was well implemented in the 88th minute, but when Friedl Grytz was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 90th minute, Jannick Zyla had to leave the field with a concussion. Michael Paulssen kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Reto Moratschke came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the VFB Stuttgart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reto Moratschke couldn't finish the play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
