The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Addi Geiß during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bornheim FC's Benjamin Uhl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Bornheim FC from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingo Gutzler was the one to do the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Stiig Schui couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedrich Hannemann in the 73rd minute of play forced Bornheim FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Uhl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nankatsu SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
