A very good chance for a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Ingo Gutzler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eduard Hebel. Flensburger FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingo Gutzler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 17 played minutes Flensburger FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruprecht Jüdt. After 18 minutes of play, Nankatsu SC's Friedrich Hannemann made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduard Hebel was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Flensburger FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ingo Gutzler came free, but Eduard Hebel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduard Hebel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedrich Hannemann in the 23rd minute of play. The Nankatsu SC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Nankatsu SC's Ingo Gutzler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 32 minutes into the match, Nankatsu SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dittmar Lehmann came free, but Henning Kläsener reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedrich Hannemann in the 34th minute of play forced Flensburger FC's goalkeeper Eduard Hebel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Friedrich Hannemann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Eduard Hebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Per Stiig Schui notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Flensburger FC's Eduard Hebel. Eduard Hebel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Flensburger FC booed when Nankatsu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigurd Banzmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Nankatsu SC fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Nankatsu SC's Ingo Gutzler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rainer Kugler made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Flensburger FC's goalkeeper Eduard Hebel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sigurd Banzmann. Friedrich Hannemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Hebel having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Flensburger FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhard Trenker to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Flensburger FC's zone, Sigurd Banzmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduard Hebel came out of the goal and Sigurd Banzmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Friedrich Hannemann succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-8 in the 66th playminute. Nankatsu SC's Sigurd Banzmann got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduard Hebel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigurd Banzmann in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Friedrich Hannemann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nankatsu SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Eduard Hebel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigurd Banzmann in the 83rd minute. Eduard Hebel made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Friedrich Hannemann sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute Ingo Gutzler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Hebel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Flensburger FC's Eduard Hebel got control of the ball when Friedrich Hannemann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduard Hebel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingo Gutzler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 minutes, Ruprecht Jüdt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flensburger FC and the Nankatsu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes Flensburger FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruprecht Jüdt. Ruprecht Jüdt kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Friedrich Hannemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Hebel having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Sigurd Banzmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nankatsu SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigurd Banzmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduard Hebel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 98 played minutes Flensburger FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruprecht Jüdt. When the match was over Nankatsu SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Flensburger FC throughout the match.
