The supporters of FC Wesseling booed when Nankatsu SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wigalf Buchbinder didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Ahmed Pflug hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, FC Wesseling's goal looked a bit too open when Ingo Gutzler came free, but Afonso Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingo Gutzler in the 28th minute of play. Afonso Santarém showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingo Gutzler in the 30th minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, Nankatsu SC's Ingo Gutzler made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Santarém was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Friedrich Hannemann came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Nankatsu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Friedrich Hannemann couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute, Ahmed Pflug hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedrich Hannemann in the 41st minute of play forced FC Wesseling's goalkeeper Afonso Santarém to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute Ingo Gutzler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FC Wesseling players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nankatsu SC were winning 0-1.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Friedrich Hannemann got free with Afonso Santarém in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute Lawrence Germann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henning Kläsener saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henning Kläsener showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Müntefering in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the game, Gürkan Yurtseven was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wesseling's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nankatsu SC the free kick. A collision led to FC Wesseling getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gürkan Yurtseven hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Ingo Gutzler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Santarém was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lawrence Germann in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henning Kläsener saved Nankatsu SC from getting behind. FC Wesseling's Afonso Santarém proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC Wesseling from getting a goal against them. In the 69thth minute of the game Hans Müntefering who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nankatsu SC's Henning Kläsener was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Nankatsu SC's Ingo Gutzler, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Nankatsu SC. After a rather tough play, Nankatsu SC's Gerd Demele got a free kick in the 78th minute. 78 minutes into the match, FC Wesseling's Dominik Szolkowy broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Afonso Santarém was a little too slow when Ingo Gutzler got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-3. Nankatsu SC's Henning Kläsener played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans Müntefering in the 89th minute of play. Afonso Santarém made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Friedrich Hannemann sent off a good shot on target. Hristo Trendelenburg charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hristo Trendelenburg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 93 minutes into the game, one of Nankatsu SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for FC Wesseling. Till Stöhr stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Henning Kläsener. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Nankatsu SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
