In the 9th minute, Rainer Kugler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teichwolframsdorf's Norbert Gehlhaar got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Hilbert Heise left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Teichwolframsdorf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ruprecht Jüdt kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Teichwolframsdorf's Roman Stolle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Teichwolframsdorf from getting a goal against them. Hilbert Heise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Feike during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eduard Hebel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hilbert Heise's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After the first half Teichwolframsdorf were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hilbert Heise stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Teichwolframsdorf got a freekick which was hit by Martin Feike. Norbert Gehlhaar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eduard Hebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrej Blomme hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Ruprecht Jüdt kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Norbert Gehlhaars short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Eduard Hebel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Andrej Blomme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eduard Hebel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dittmar Lehmann came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Flensburger FC fans jumped to their feet.
