Spectators: 7990 (Terracing: 5994, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Felix Steimer kicked off to start the match. Ray Peuckert took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Mann. Sebastian Mann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Sebastian Mann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Voland in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute Ray Peuckert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Arvid Butenweg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles Voland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, SV Rittsteig's goal looked a bit too open when Ray Peuckert came free, but Sebastian Mann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ray Peuckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Börje Gerlinger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Mann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fortunatus Dörken during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SV Rittsteig booed when Rodenhof FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortunatus Dörken didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Voland to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles Voland got free with Sebastian Mann in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute Shawn Klenk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Livio Göger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Voland in the 91st minute of play forced SV Rittsteig's goalkeeper Sebastian Mann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ray Peuckert kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastian Mann. That made the score 0-3 in the 94 minute of play. When the match was over Rodenhof FSV could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SV Rittsteig throughout the match.
