An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Zimmermann in the 7th minute of play forced Mödrath's goalkeeper Ödön Dieler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Rodenhof FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Lott came free, but Livio Göger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 11 in the game by Charles Voland from a close distance when the talented Ödön Dieler managed to make a qualified save. Mödrath's players were relieved. Charles Volands short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Ödön Dieler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 20 played minutes Mödrath got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Cronen. After 23 minutes, Steffen Lott mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mödrath and the Rodenhof FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charles Voland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Ödön Dieler made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Gero Butzbach made a precise shot to the right of Livio Göger. Rodenhof FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After 35 minutes of play Mödrath's Gero Butzbach was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Rodenhof FSV booed when Mödrath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gero Butzbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Konstantin Cronen to make the kick off. Charles Voland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ödön Dieler having to make a save. Dino Weyerich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Livio Göger having to interfere. Stefan Daecher hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Mödrath's Steffen Lott got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Steffen Lott off the ground. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ödön Dieler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th match minute, Rodenhof FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ephraim Flaht to maneuver through the defense.
