The audience was convinced that Ubbo Marschner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zoltan Djir was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 20 minutes into the match, Arjen Brockmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zoltan Djir. Bahnhof's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arjen Brockmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Bernd Holz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoltan Djir having to interfere. Zoltan Djir didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ubbo Marschner went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When Germania Haithabu's Ubbo Marschner in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bahnhof's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Bernd Holz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germania Haithabu's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernd Holz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zoltan Djir breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ubbo Marschner got in the 46th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Zoltan Djir handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Droste was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bahnhof's zone, Bernd Holz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zoltan Djir came out of the goal and Bernd Holz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zoltan Djir stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubbo Marschner's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Harro Lanzenberger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siegmund Buhrmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ubbo Marschner did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Zoltan Djir 59 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Ubbo Marschner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoltan Djir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Kasimir Baba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germania Haithabu and the Bahnhof players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Bernd Holz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernd Holz struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Zoltan Djir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germania Haithabu. In the 82nd minute, Lorenzo Droste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Germania Haithabu booed when Bahnhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theodor Schraier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erk Grimm was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubbo Marschner in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zoltan Djir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ubbo Marschner in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zoltan Djir, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arjen Brockmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Germania Haithabu left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bahnhof.
