Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Birk Kreuzer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gunnar Tiggelkamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Ruck in the 3rd minute of the match. Gunnar Tiggelkamp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Frentzen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute Norbert Joeris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Tiggelkamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Wannemaker in the 9th minute of play forced Elisenhof's goalkeeper Marco Reiner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Klement Bästlein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birk Kreuzer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marco Reiner firmly grabbed it by the left post. Erwin Ruck kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Jens Bistritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Reiner having to interfere. A collision led to Grüna getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Maurice Riek-Nagy hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klement Bästlein during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grüna's Klement Bästlein got a free kick in the 27th minute. 0-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Norbert Joeris elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Hans Ackermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grüna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans Ackermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Birk Kreuzer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Joeris in the 39th minute of play forced Grüna's goalkeeper Gunnar Tiggelkamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klement Bästlein blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Reiner having to make a save. In the 46th minute Norbert Joeris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Tiggelkamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Grüna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elisenhof were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norbert Joeris to make the kick off. In the 54th play minute Dejan Denz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gunnar Tiggelkamp. 0-2. Elisenhof's Dejan Denz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Jörg Wingert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grüna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elisenhof the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Grüna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elisenhof:s goal. The referee gave Elisenhof a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gabriel Bereths, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grüna's Gunnar Tiggelkamp. 0-3. A collision led to Elisenhof getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Gabriel Bereths hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Norbert Joeris reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gunnar Tiggelkamp. The goal made the score 0-4. Klement Bästlein blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Reiner having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Klement Bästlein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grüna's supporters rose to their feet, but Klement Bästlein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Reiner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birk Kreuzer took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Reiner. Marco Reiner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 84th minute, Marco Wannemaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Ackermann hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Hans Ackermann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 90 minutes of play, Grüna's Birk Kreuzer made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Reiner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jens Bistritz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Reiner having to make a save. The Elisenhof players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
