After 2 played minutes Germania Haithabu got a freekick which was hit by Ubbo Schlösser. The supporters of Germania Haithabu booed when SV Rittsteig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wenzel Stöckel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee showed Bernd Holz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Germania Haithabu got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Holz. SV Rittsteig's Shawn Klenk got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siegmund Buhrmann came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by SV Rittsteig's Shawn Klenk. But to his dismay, Shawn Klenk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Shawn Klenk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Siegmund Buhrmann. That made the score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. In the 28th minute, Shawn Klenk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ubbo Marschner took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Mann. Sebastian Mann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Ubbo Marschner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Mann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 40th minute Ubbo Marschner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Steimer to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Germania Haithabu got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Holz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubbo Marschner in the 58th minute of play forced SV Rittsteig's goalkeeper Sebastian Mann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, SV Rittsteig's goalkeeper Sebastian Mann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ubbo Marschner. When Wenzel Stöckel came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SV Rittsteig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wenzel Stöckel couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Mann didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 70th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. The audience was convinced that Ubbo Marschner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Mann was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, SV Rittsteig's goal looked a bit too open when Ubbo Schlösser came free, but Sebastian Mann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, SV Rittsteig's goalkeeper Sebastian Mann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ubbo Marschner. Ali Kipper kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Ron Frenzle was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. During the 83rd minute of the match Bernd Holz completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bernd Holz a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 84th match minute, Germania Haithabu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernd Holz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SV Rittsteig getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Menno Häse hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, Germania Haithabu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubbo Schlösser to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Felix Steimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Siegmund Buhrmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Felix Steimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
