Bolo Anfahrt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Joeris in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Dejan Denz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bolo Anfahrt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Hoppenstedt hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Elisenhof getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gabriel Bereths hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marko Frentzen in the 32nd minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Bolo Anfahrt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 33 minutes into the match, Marko Frentzen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bolo Anfahrt. Real Madrid's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marko Frentzen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid's Lasse Schönberger got a free kick in the 41st minute. Hansjürgen Hengherr hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Kornel Kroth took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bolo Anfahrt. Real Madrid's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bolo Anfahrt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Ruck in the 48th minute of play. The Real Madrid players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elisenhof were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bertram Becher was the one to do the kick off. Marco Reiner came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Madrid's Bertram Becher. But to his dismay, Bertram Becher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Niccolo Altmeier kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The Real Madrid fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Real Madrid's Bertram Becher looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bolo Anfahrt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dejan Denz in the 70th minute. Real Madrid's Bolo Anfahrt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Joeris in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Ulf Görtzen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Reiner came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Real Madrid's Bertram Becher. But to his dismay, Bertram Becher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The supporters of Elisenhof booed when Real Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Gürtler didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Berthold Marcian hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Gabriel Bereths sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bolo Anfahrt skillfully saved the ball. Many of Elisenhof's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Elisenhof may have spent more time on the ball, but Real Madrid were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
