The supporters of Germania Haithabu booed when Elisenhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niccolo Altmeier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute of the match Gabriel Bereths shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Siegmund Buhrmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Siegmund Buhrmann came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Elisenhof's Erwin Ruck. But to his dismay, Erwin Ruck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Joeris in the 18th minute of play forced Germania Haithabu's goalkeeper Siegmund Buhrmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ubbo Marschner kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Reiner. That made the score 1-2 in the 20 minute of play. When Bernd Holz fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germania Haithabu's protests and gave Bernd Holz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Elisenhof booed when Germania Haithabu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernd Holz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Joeris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Siegmund Buhrmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kasimir Baba during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norbert Joeris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ubbo Marschner came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Germania Haithabu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubbo Marschner couldn't finish the play. Germania Haithabu's Siegmund Buhrmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kornel Kroth in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Erwin Ruck notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Germania Haithabu's Siegmund Buhrmann. Siegmund Buhrmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dejan Denz in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siegmund Buhrmann saved Germania Haithabu from getting behind. Marco Reiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubbo Marschner in the 45th minute of play. Ubbo Marschner in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marco Reiner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norbert Joeris was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play Germania Haithabu's Bernd Holz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Germania Haithabu's Bernd Holz got a free kick in the 51st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erwin Ruck got free with Siegmund Buhrmann in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arjen Brockmann struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Marco Reiner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germania Haithabu. Ubbo Marschner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Elisenhof's goal looked a bit too open when Arjen Brockmann came free, but Marco Reiner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erk Grimm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Reiner having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, Elisenhof's goal looked a bit too open when Arjen Brockmann came free, but Marco Reiner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Elisenhof defense, Ubbo Marschner kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Reiner. The Elisenhof fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Reiner should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Elisenhof booed when Germania Haithabu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erk Grimm didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Germania Haithabu's Ali Kipper got a free kick in the 77th minute. The long shot by Gabriel Bereths in the 78th minute really tested Siegmund Buhrmann's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 82nd minute, Arjen Brockmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marco Reiner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ubbo Marschner in the 84th minute of the match. Ubbo Marschner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Reiner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubbo Schlösser's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Ubbo Marschner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siegmund Buhrmann was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Dejan Denz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dejan Denz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Chants of Elisenhof echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Germania Haithabu had held the ball for most of the match.
