The audience thought a goal was coming when Niclas Oppenheim got free with Arp Nonnenmacher in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manfred Lederer hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goalkeeper Arp Nonnenmacher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niclas Oppenheim. Arp Nonnenmacher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niclas Oppenheim went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Achim Geissler came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FC HARZ THALE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Achim Geissler couldn't finish the play. Niclas Oppenheim succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 40th playminute.

Arp Nonnenmacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Lederer, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Achim Geissler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Achim Geissler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Baur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Warlies having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Silvio Gorgs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvio Gorgs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Warlies breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 77 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Niclas Oppenheim came free, but Arp Nonnenmacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bertram Rutkowski's late challenge caught a Chelsea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertram Rutkowski helped the player get up and apologised. Bertram Rutkowski kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 83 minutes, Niko Dirks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC HARZ THALE and the Chelsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, one of FC HARZ THALE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC HARZ THALE. Edward Perrey shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 86th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hanns Kienzle to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, FC HARZ THALE's Tobias Warlies got control of the ball when Silvio Gorgs tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alexander Baur had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
